8. Background Location Disclosure
Why We Collect Background Location
The App collects location data in the background to:
- Verify your location during active work/attendance hours.
- Ensure accurate attendance tracking for payroll processing.
- Prevent time and attendance fraud.
How Background Location Works
- Background tracking activates only after you clock in and stops when you clock out.
- The App uses Android's Foreground Service with a persistent notification to inform you that location tracking is active.
- Location data is transmitted to our servers at regular intervals during work hours.
- You can see the active tracking notification in your device's notification panel.
Controlling Background Location
- You may revoke background location permission through your device's Settings > Apps > BL Employee > Permissions > Location.
- Revoking background location may result in incomplete attendance records and may require manual attendance verification with your supervisor.
9. Push Notifications
The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications for:
- New task assignments and updates.
- Lead status changes and follow-up reminders.
- Attendance reminders (clock-in/clock-out).
- Company-wide announcements.
You can manage notification preferences through your device's system settings. Disabling notifications may cause you to miss time-sensitive work communications.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for use by authorized employees and partners who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be communicated through:
- An updated "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
- Push notifications for material changes.
- In-app announcements.
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
